Welcome to the ADS Note Taking Module
This page is for ADS students with an approved note taking accommodation to request a Note Taker.
**Please note, ADS students must provide their accommodation letter to their instructors via the portal. ADS students with note taking accommodations will not be able to request a note taker for their classes until they have shared their accommodation letter with their instructor through the portal.
If you are applying to be a Note Taker or are already serving as a Note Taker please click on the Note Takers module or go to:
https://go.umd.edu/adsNoteTakers
. If you have a note taking accommodation, you may not serve as a peer note taker for yourself or another student.
For each class, each semester, you will have to indicate if you require a Note Taker.
For example, if you require a Note Taker for your HIST 200 class, you will need to indicate that within this module by clicking “No” and changing your preference to “Yes.” If you do not need a Note Taker for a class (eg. ENGL 101), no action would be required.
To get started click “Course/notes” in the menu above.
For detailed step by step guidance on selecting a Note Taker, please review this

.
You may also see the FAQ tab in the menu above for frequently asked questions and directional information.
As a reminder, we advise students to download their notes at least once per week to ensure they have access to their notes when they need them. Once the semester is complete, you will NOT be able to access a previous semester's notes.
